How should I prepare my child for their appointment?
For a makeup appointment, please make sure your child's face is completely clean and free of any makeup or face paint before our Pixies arrive.
If your appointment is for a blowout, we recommend your hair is washed and damp before your hairstylist arrives. For updos and dry styles, your hair should be clean and dry. Washing their hair the night before appointment for the best results
How long is the appointment?
A hair and makeup appointment will not exceed one hour in length. If you have a hair, makeup and manicure appointment, it will not take longer than 90 minutes.
What if I am outside of the primary service area? Will there be a travel fee?
You deserve your glam-on-the-go whenever, wherever. They go the extra mile, literally, to deliver beauty to your front door even if it's outside Pixie Magic's core Anaheim CA service area. Travel fees start at $25 for a request that falls outside of Pixie Magic's primary delivery zip codes. We will always inform you of the final travel fee upon confirming your appointment.
What styles do you offer?
All of the Partnered beGlammed stylists are well-versed in creating a variety of looks. We do ask that if you have specific look in mind for your hair or makeup, that you show your stylist a photo (or more than one) to give them a clear picture of your vision.
Pro-tip: there’s no such thing as over-explaining what you want to your stylist! The more direction they have from you, the better chance you’ll be wowed by the results.
What products/tools do the beauty professionals carry with them?
All Partnered beGlammed stylists use only professional, luxury-grade products. Each stylist’s kits are thoroughly inspected during the interview process to ensure they meet the company's quality standards.
Will the gown be itchy for my child to wear?
Every surface that touches skin is lined with soft fabric, because an outfit that itches makes everyone grumpy. Great care is taken in our choice and placement of tulle, laces and trims with this issue in mind.
Will the costumes be comfortable to play in?
All of our young test subjects and models reported a high level of comfort and willingness to play while wearing the costumes.
What if my child accidentally stains or damages the gowns or capes?
We understand that some wear and tear will be inevitable, and the and the total rental fee covers minor stains and damage. However, significant damage and theft aren't covered under the insurance. If the item is damaged beyond repair, the fee is the retail price of the item. If the item is never returned, the fee is double the retail price of the item. We do lend a breathable smock or apron for your child to use while eating or while playing, please return the smock or apron clean
Can I tailor the gown or cape?
No, we do not allow alterations on any of our items. If need be, you can temporarily "hem" your dress with "Hollywood Temporary Hem Tape Strips", provided you carefully remove it prior to pick up.
- CLEAN AND READY TO WEAR. The Products will be cleaned and delivered ready to wear. Pixie Magic dry cleans/hand washes and inspects each gown with the utmost care, but use of the apparel is at your own risk and Pixie Magic shall not be held liable for any health-related complaints associated with any gown, cape or accessories.
- PRODUCTS ARE USED; ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND “AS IS.” You acknowledge and agree that only those Products designated by us on the Site or App as available for purchase are eligible for purchase by you. However, all gowns and capes are sold on an “as is” basis, without any warranty whatsoever, and all Product sales are final.
